My client does traditional welsh dancing and asked if it would be possible to make her one …the end product.

That looks like a real triumph, Jackie! Would you like to share some details? Is it made of felt? Were you able to form it by steaming one piece, or did you need to make the crown seperate from the brim? I am going to attempt a similar project myself, so every tip would be most helpful. My mother used to steam felt over a lead mould inside a plant pot when I was a child, but of course that is not an option for an adult. It was also not quite the traditional stove-pipe shape, more the “tourist” version tapering from brim to top of crown. That is what I like about yours here: an historically correct form. It really is an inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
